Home Made BBQ Sauce

Ingredient Amount
Ketchup 1 cup
Red Wine vinegar 1/2 cup
Brown sugar 1/4 cup
Worcestershire sauce 2 tablespoons
Regular yellow mustard 1 tablespoon
Smoked paprika 1 teaspoon
Salt 1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper 1/4 teaspoon
Optional: Franks Red Hot Original 4 dashes ( or to taste)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients.
  2. Set a mixer/frother to slow and slowly mix all ingredients. Continue until the mixture is well blended. Warm the mixture through on medium heat.
  3. Allow to simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Let sauce cool for 30 minutes covered.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  6. Let cool, then store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Enjoy!

For storing your home made sauce before your recycling goes out, I recommend that you take an old ketchup bottle. Wash it well. You can store the sauce in that for easy use.
