Home Made BBQ Sauce

Ingredient | Amount |

Ketchup | 1 cup |
Red Wine vinegar | 1/2 cup |
Brown sugar | 1/4 cup |
Worcestershire sauce | 2 tablespoons |
Regular yellow mustard | 1 tablespoon |
Smoked paprika | 1 teaspoon |
Salt | 1/2 teaspoon |
Black pepper | 1/4 teaspoon |
Optional: Franks Red Hot Original | 4 dashes ( or to taste) |
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients.
- Set a mixer/frother to slow and slowly mix all ingredients. Continue until the mixture is well blended. Warm the mixture through on medium heat.
- Allow to simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Let sauce cool for 30 minutes covered.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Let cool, then store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Enjoy!
For storing your home made sauce before your recycling goes out, I recommend that you take an old ketchup bottle. Wash it well. You can store the sauce in that for easy use.
