Home made pasta sauce!

This pasta sauce includes the following:

Use 4 cans of crushed tomatoes. Add 1 can of diced tomatoes from No Name. Also include 1 can of tomato paste and a splash of red wine vinegar. Stir in 1 tablespoon of salt and half a tablespoon of epicures SPG. Add half a teaspoon of oregano. Finally, pour in 1/2 cup of olive oil.

Directions:

  • 1. Set your crock pot to 10hrs on low so your tomatoes don’t burn
  • 2. Load your cans into the crock pot
  • 3. As your adding your tomatoes add your Red wine and olive oil and sugar
  • 4. make sure to mix as your adding your ingredients. So that it’s not one lump
  • 5. put the lid on and walk away checking back every couple of hours stirring

The Canning Process:

The canning process can be tricky if you’re new to using Mason jars. Just grab your containers. Even better, visit your local Dollar store and buy the small little takeaway containers. Then, you can freeze your sauce if you have room in the freezer.
